AUTH participated last week in the “HEPTA Summer School 2023: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)”, where a presentation took place including the NEOSUCCESS technology. Its achievements and progress were thoroughly discussed which raised outstanding interest for the project. It was a great opportunity to spread the news about the NEOSUCCESS Project and its significant value.
Moreover, AUTH published a scientific study with the collaboration of DTU, regarding work that was conducted in the frame of NEOSUCCESS project, being the first study implementing a pilot fermentation application by utilizing industrial candy waste with Actinobacillus succinogenes 130z while also presenting high quality succinic acid separation from industrial candy waste fermentation. The title of this work is “Bio-succinic acid production, up to pilot scale, by fermentation of industrial candy waste with Actinobacillus succinogenes 130Z and its downstream purification process” and it was published in the “Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering”.
