The time has come!
We have the know-how and the experience to perform the upscaling of the BioSuccinic Acid (BSA) production after completing the test trials in DTU’s facilities. Several overcoming challenges and practical problems that arose during a pilot scale application of the process were solved.
Batch fermentations have been conducted to produce BSA from an industrial sugary wastewater in DTU’s pilot scale fermenters. Batch fermentation broths were centrifuged while fine tuning the operation parameters (bowl speed, flow rate (L/h), solid ejection intervals…).
